Hometime.io is Hometime’s direct booking site.
This channel is a powerful way of encouraging repeat guest bookings and is another channel to promote your property to more guests.
Is there a platform fee on Hometime.io?
Guests will be charged a 10% fee (including GST) when making a booking on Hometime.io. Similar to platform fees charged by other booking channels such as Airbnb and Booking.com, this fee covers the costs of processing the reservation, processing payment fees, and marketing activities to drive guest loyalty and repeat bookings.
Will my earnings be impacted if a reservation is booked directly?
No, there will be no difference in your earnings in comparison to a booking made from another channel.
Is there a discount on Hometime.io bookings compared to a reservation made through other channels?
Guests who book directly through Hometime.io benefit from a lower overall rate in comparison to booking through other channels. This is from the difference in platform fees. Hometime.io has a 10% booking fee, which is lower than other booking channels.
You can see the breakdown of booking (or platform) fees by channel here.
What does the platform fee cover?
The 10% platform fee covers:
- Platform costs
- Hometime investment in building support teams such as our Guest Experience team
- Hometime’s cover for Guest and Host claims
