Please kindly note that there is a ramp-up period when your Airbnb first goes live. It is completely normal for the first few months of your listing being active on Airbnb to be quiet and not generate many bookings. The first handful of bookings are the most difficult to acquire as the listing is brand new and has no reviews. Guests are naturally more hesitant to book properties with no reviews. Once the first few positive reviews begin to come in, this provides a catalyst for more bookings as guests are confident they will have a positive experience staying at the property. Our Revenue Management Team run a standard promotion for all new properties under Hometime called the 'New Listing Discount'. This is a 20% discount for guests that is available for the first handful of bookings to get guests through the door and get some really important early traction on the listing.
Please be assured that the performance of your listing in these first few months of going live is not indicative of what a full 12-months of data and earnings will look like like.
